Appleford Village Hall

Welcome to our very special Village Hall.  The hall was built by volunteers from the village in the 1970’s, but over the years has been an enlarged and refurbished using grants from various organisations.

Appleford Village Hall benefits from a unique location, sited on a large playfield, with goalposts already in place and a children’s playground (surrounded by fences and hedges), zip wire and outdoor gym equipment.

There is a large car park for 50 cars, as well as having a train station within 5 minutes walk.

Appleford itself is a small village in between Abingdon and Didcot.

About the hall

The main hall is approximately 45 M² and has a capacity of sitting 50 people at tables or 60 people in a theatre style configuration.  It benefits from opening straight out on to a patio, that has outdoor heating, lights and 2 large picnic tables/benches.

The kitchen is fully equipped with double oven, hob, microwave and fridge and 60+ covers in crockery, cutlery and glasses.

We have small and large tables and 60+ comfy fabric chairs; there are also additional plastic chairs for outdoor use.

The hall is very popular for parties, especially children’s, with plenty of space outside for a Bouncy Castle, football game, BBQ etc (please be aware that the Village Hall’s insurance does not cover the playfield).

There is a small committee room (seating 10 people) that is also available for hire.

The contents of the hall (tables/chairs/crockery/cutlery/glassware) can all be hired out for a small fee.
